The Bellevue Hospital’s (TBH) Family Birthing Center (FBC) welcomed the first baby of 2020 on January 2.
Zephyn Alexander Huff, weighed in at 6-pounds and was 20 ½ - inches in length. He was delivered by Corey Fazio, D.O., at 8:32 p.m. on Jan. 2. He is the son of Brooke Quiantance & Jeffrey Huff of Fremont.
Zephyn joins two other step-siblings, big brother Aiden, age 10 and sister Sophia, age 6.
“I was induced the night of Jan. 1 but I didn't start having contractions until the next day. When Zephyn didn’t arrive until later that night, we figured there might have been another family that beat us to it because we heard another baby crying from a different room. But, that baby was born before the New Year. I am so excited that Zephyn was the New Years baby,” said Brooke.
Zephyn and his parents received many gifts from local and area businesses for being the first baby of 2020, including $200 from the hospital, and gifts from the hospital Gift Shop.
The family also received various gifts from local merchants, including Forget-Me-Not Flowers & Gifts, Hogue’s IGA, Bassett’s Market, ACE Hardware, First National Bank, Anytime Fitness and the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce.
Maternal grandparents are Dawn Schmitz and Bubbs Steward, Fremont. Paternal grandparents are Dave Huff and Virginia Matthews, Fremont.
