TBH FOUNDATION GIVES AWAY NEW CORVETTE!
The Bellevue Hospital Foundation made Valentine’s Day a memorable experience for Denise Petenzi of Chicago, IL, as her name was drawn as the grand prize winner in the 8th annual “Is Your Heart Set on a Vette” Corvette Raffle. The winning ticket was #1950.
Bellevue Mayor Kevin Strecker had the honor of drawing the winners out of the barrel containing all 2,018 tickets sold for the raffle.
As the grand prize winner, Petenzi had her choice of a brand new 2018 Corvette plus $40,000, or $100,000 in cash. She chose the $100,000 cash option.
Four runner-up winners each received cash prizes, including Heather Gill, Clyde, OH, $2,018 (ticket #0269); Charlene Snyder, Fremont, OH, $1,918 (ticket #0340); James Greis, Las Cruces, NM, $1,500 (ticket #0620); and Donald Rogers, Hebron, KY, $1,000 (ticket #1431).
“We wish to congratulate Denise and the other four winners,” said Michael K. Winthrop, President and CEO of The Bellevue Hospital (TBH). “Last year, we honored the year we opened our doors and sold 1,917 tickets in celebration of our Centennial. This year, we wanted to honor our present day and sell 2,018 tickets. We kicked-off this raffle in September of 2017 and we accomplished our goal of selling all 2,018 tickets by December 15, 2017.”
Continued Winthrop, “For us, this made the raffle highly successful. It was important for us to sell and run this raffle in the right way and it was a great effort from our Foundation, Accounting Department, Marketing Department, and numerous volunteers.”
The accounting firm of Cook, Smith & Schmidt, CPA’s, Bellevue, OH, verified that all tickets were properly filled out and placed in the locked barrel prior to the drawing.
Tickets were sold to people in 45 different U.S. states and in Canada, noted Dennis Sabo, TBH Foundation Director. “I would like to personally thank Gary Steinle of Steinle Chevrolet-Buick in Clyde. They were the co-sponsor of this event. Also, thanks to Bill & Scott Brugnone at the Bellevue Beverage Center, the Fremont Steinle location, the hospital Gift Shop staff, Craig Stahl & Samantha Jeremay at Lake Shore Graphics in Sandusky, TBH employees, and Foundation Board members for all the support. We could not have accomplished this massive project without all their help.”
Sabo noted that all proceeds will benefit Foundation women’s and children’s projects, including the Women’s Mammography Fund, which will help supply screening mammograms for underinsured or uninsured women.
The 2019 Corvette Raffle will kick-off with Early Bird specials in September, 2018.
