The Bellevue Hospital’s (TBH) Family Birthing Center (FBC) welcomed the first baby of 2023 on Monday, Jan. 2.
Oliver Miles Foos weighed in at 7-pounds, 5-ounces and was 20-inches in length. He was delivered by Corey Fazio, D.O. at 3:21 p.m. He is the son of Kristen and Miles Foos, originally of Bellevue.
“I was induced the morning of Jan. 2 and Oliver was born later that afternoon," said Kristen. "We had a good birthing experience, and we greatly appreciate all of the encouragement we’ve received from our care team in the FBC."
Oliver, who will be called Ollie for short, joins big sister Avery, age 2 and a half.
"Both Avery and Ollie were born in the Family Birthing Center, and we are so thankful for the continuation of support received at TBH," said Kristen.
“Dr. Fazio had told us at recent appointments that he wanted to make sure he was here to deliver our baby,” added Miles. “He came in from home to deliver Ollie and we are so appreciative for the care he provided.”
The Foos family received many gifts from local and area businesses for being the first baby of 2023, including $200 from the hospital, and gifts from the hospital Gift Shop and TBH Foundation.
The family also received various gifts from local merchants, including Forget-Me-Not Flowers & Gifts, Anytime Fitness, Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce and the Vein & Body Specialists.
Maternal grandparents are Ken and Linda Wooten of Bellevue. Paternal grandparents are Brian and Lisa Foos of Bellevue.
